Lake View Course is Callaway Gardens’ original golf course featuring wider fairways and nine water holes. This course complements the more demanding Mountain View course. It reflects the philosophy of Gardens founder Cason Callaway, who was fond of saying that if a golfer lifts his or her head on a shot, they should see something beautiful. Designed by J.B. McGovern, longtime assistant to the legendary Donald Ross and Dick Wilson, it is a Par-70, 6,158 yard course with a signature par-3 10th holes with an island tee.

The Mountain View course is a challenging but playable layout that will test your strategic and shot making abilities. The list of winners that have played this track is a who’s-who of Tour stars, with champions including Davis Love III, David Duval, Steve Elkington, David Toms and Jonathan Byrd. Designed by Dick Wilson, architect of Chicago's renowned Cog Hill No. 4, this Par-72 7,057 yard course features tight fairways lined by towering pines.

Location Callaway Resort and Gardens

Course Website Callaway Resort and Gardens, a man-made landscape in a unique natural setting, was conceived and created by Cason J. Callaway and his wife, Virginia Hand Callaway, for the benefit of mankind. Callaway Resort and Gardens, a public, educational, horticultural and charitable organization, is owned and operated by the non-profit Ida Cason Callaway Foundation. Its wholly owned subsidiary, Callaway Gardens Resort, Inc., a regular business corporation, operates the recreational, lodging and retail facilities at Callaway Gardens. After-tax proceeds go to the Foundation to support its efforts.
Open since 1952, Callaway Resort and Gardens is nestled in the southernmost foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Founders Cason and Virginia Callaway longed for a place where man and nature could abide together for the good of both. More than six decades later, their retreat continues to offer solace, inspiration and discovery for all who come here.
